Sometimes, you just need to escape the everyday and forget your troubles. A great cocktail bar, or a day at Walt Disney World, can do just that.
Walt’s vision of a vacation destination emerged around the same time the cocktail culture began, during the mid-20th century. Cocktail culture was manifested particularly by the Tiki movement.
The two shared common themes:
- Escapism and Fantasy
- Immersive Environments
- Thematic Design
- Entertainment
- and Nostalgia
Tiki culture and Walt Disney World come together in a blend of immersive experiences. Just like Tiki bars transport patrons to tropical locales, Disney’s themed lands sweep visitors into enchanting realms. Both celebrate storytelling, inviting guests to enjoy exotic drinks and exciting attractions, surrounded by captivating visuals and sensory delights.
One way to re-live the “feels” from your trips to Walt Disney World is by making those exotic drinks at home — whether it’s a classic cocktail with a Disney twist or something more adventurous.
But where do you find the actual recipes?
Enter The Disney Cocktailor.

My name is Matt and this is The Disney Cocktailor.
This is MY first Disney website. I’ve been designing and building websites for more than 20 years. I’ve created sites for notable Disney bloggers and personalities – Steve Seifert of TikimanPages and the late, great Josh Humphrey of EasyWDW – as well as Disney travel businesses like Magical Vacations Travel and DVC Magic Resales. Still, The Disney Cocktailor is the first Disney website I’ve built for myself.
I live in Connecticut with my wife and our 23-year old twin girls. We’ve been visiting Walt Disney World since our girls were six, but now that they are of age, our trips to the World have changed. We still do the rides and attractions, but our appreciation for more grown-up experiences has grown.
Now, we experience the magic of Disney not only when we rope drop Expedition Everest, but also when we’re first in line at La Cava del Tequila. Scoring a Black Pearl at Trader Sam’s is as big a deal as scoring Boarding Group 1 for TRON.
We started making Disney cocktails at home as a way to keep the Disney Magic alive. We got pretty good at it. So we bought a liquor cabinet. Then we bought another.
It was hard to find recipes. There’s no shortage of blogs and sites that review and critique Disney cocktails, but very few with the actual recipes and instructions to make them.
I created this site for Disney adults like us.
